An Act to amend the Canadian Bill of Rights (right to housing)
Amends the Canadian Bill of Rights to add a recognized right to housing. The Canadian Bill of Rights is a quasi-constitutional 1960 statute that predates the Charter. The 2019 National Housing Strategy Act already includes a statutory right to housing; this bill elevates it.
