An Act to amend An Act to authorize the making of certain fiscal payments to provinces, and to authorize the entry into tax collection agreements with provinces
Restores the pre-2017 6 percent annual escalator on the Canada Health Transfer (CHT). The Harper government cut the escalator to 'GDP growth, minimum 3 percent' in 2017, and provinces have been asking Ottawa to restore the higher rate ever since.
