An Act to amend the Indian Act (new registration entitlements)
Closes remaining gaps in the Indian Act's sex-based discrimination provisions. Restores Indian Act status to descendants previously denied status because of how the Act treated women who married non-status men before 1985, following the McIvor (2009) and Descheneaux (2015) court rulings.
