Anita Anand is Minister of Foreign Affairs (since March 14, 2025) and MP for Oakville East (Ontario), first elected in 2019. Previously Minister of National Defence (2021-2023) overseeing COVID-19 vaccine procurement and the response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, then Minister of Public Services and Procurement and President of the Treasury Board (2023-2025), then briefly Minister of Transport. A lawyer and Oxford-educated former University of Toronto law professor.
