Elizabeth May is Co-Leader of the Green Party of Canada (since November 19, 2022, alongside Jonathan Pedneault until 2024) and the MP for Saanich-Gulf Islands (British Columbia), elected in 2011 and re-elected at every general election since. She was the Green Party's first Member of Parliament and was sole leader of the federal Green Party from 2006 to 2019. A lawyer and environmentalist, she co-founded Sierra Club Canada.
