François-Philippe Champagne is Minister of Industry (since January 2021) and MP for Saint-Maurice-Champlain (Quebec), elected in 2015. Previously Minister of International Trade (2017-2018), Minister of Infrastructure and Communities (2018-2019), and Minister of Foreign Affairs (2019-2021). Led Canada's negotiations with Volkswagen on the St. Thomas EV battery plant ($13B federal-provincial subsidy commitment) and Stellantis-LG on the Windsor battery plant.
