Christine Normandin is the Bloc Québécois Immigration Critic and MP for Saint-Jean (Quebec), elected in 2019. Before politics she practised law specializing in immigration. She has been the Bloc's lead voice on the federal Immigration Levels Plan, the temporary-resident cap, the Roxham Road irregular border crossing, and the federal-Quebec asylum-receiving cost-sharing dispute. Currently chair of the Standing Committee on National Defence.
