Tim Houston is the 30th Premier of Nova Scotia (since August 31, 2021) and Leader of the Progressive Conservative Association of Nova Scotia. He sits in the Legislative Assembly for Pictou East. Won majority governments in 2021 (defeating Iain Rankin's Liberals) and 2024 (defeating Zach Churchill's Liberals). Before politics he was a chartered accountant. His second-term government has defined itself as 'fix healthcare,' with Bill 1 (Affordable Healthcare Reform Act) restructuring Nova Scotia Health and Bill 419 (Affordable Housing Acceleration Act) speeding up provincial housing approvals.
