Marit Stiles

Marit Stiles is the Leader of the Ontario New Democratic Party (since February 4, 2023) and MPP for Davenport (elected 2018). Before becoming Leader of the Official Opposition she was the NDP's critic for education. Before provincial politics she was president of the Toronto District School Board and a long-time labour-movement organizer. The Ontario NDP went into the 2025 election with 31 seats and held second place in the 124-seat Legislative Assembly.
