Susan Holt is the 36th Premier of New Brunswick (since November 2, 2024) and Leader of the New Brunswick Liberal Association. She sits in the Legislative Assembly for Bathurst East-Nepisiguit-Saint-Isidore. Won a majority government at the October 21, 2024 provincial election, defeating Blaine Higgs's PCs. The first woman to serve as Premier of New Brunswick. Before politics she was the founding CEO of the New Brunswick Business Council. Her government's first substantive legislation was Bill 2 repealing the provincial carbon tax (aligning with the Carney government's spring 2025 federal consumer-carbon-tax removal); also Bill 28 (Official Languages of New Brunswick Modernization Act).
