John Hogan

John Hogan is the 15th Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador (sworn in May 14, 2025) and Leader of the Newfoundland and Labrador Liberal Party. He sits in the House of Assembly for Windsor Lake. Succeeded Andrew Furey, who announced his resignation in February 2025; won the NL Liberal leadership convention on May 3, 2025. Before becoming Premier he was Minister of Justice and Public Safety, Attorney General, and Minister of Labour under Furey. Before politics he was a lawyer in St. John's. His government will face a fixed-date election by October 14, 2025.
