Tony Wakeham is the 16th Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, sworn in on October 29, 2025 after leading the Progressive Conservative Party to a majority in the October 2025 general election, ending a decade of Liberal government. PC MHA for Stephenville-Port au Port since 2021 and PC leader since October 2023. Before politics he was a senior health-care administrator with Western Health. His government has focused on affordability, health care, and a promised review and referendum on the Churchill Falls memorandum of understanding.
