Allan MacMaster is Minister of Finance and Treasury Board of Nova Scotia (since August 31, 2021). PC MLA for Inverness, first elected in 2009 and re-elected at every subsequent general election. Before politics he was a financial advisor in Cape Breton. Previously served as PC Finance critic in opposition for over a decade and was Deputy Premier from 2021 to 2024. As Finance Minister he has tabled four Nova Scotia budgets, including the 2023 elimination of provincial bridge tolls on the Cobequid Pass and the 2024 reduction of the basic personal amount of provincial income tax.
