Christian Dubé is Minister of Health of Quebec (since October 18, 2018, in the original Legault Cabinet). MNA for La Prairie, elected in 2018. Before politics he was Vice-President of the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec and CEO of Cascades. Previously Minister of the Treasury Board (2018-2020). As Health Minister he has led the largest Quebec health-system restructuring in two decades (the Santé Québec single-agency consolidation that took effect December 1, 2024), the post-pandemic LTC reform after the documented Herron CHSLD scandal, and the 2024 medical-graduate forced-retention legislation.
