Liberal MP for Brampton East. Small-business owner before politics; Parliamentary Secretary in trade and immigration portfolios. Owned and operated a logistics business in Brampton's truck-transport sector before being first elected in 2019. Re-elected 2021 and 2025. Has served as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of International Trade, the Minister of Immigration, and the Deputy Prime Minister, and has been an active voice on Canada-India trade diplomacy and the GTA's South Asian Canadian community. Sits on the House Standing Committees on International Trade and on Citizenship and Immigration.
