Tamara Davidson is Minister of Environment and Parks of British Columbia (since November 18, 2024). NDP MLA for North Coast-Haida Gwaii, first elected in October 2024. Before politics she served on the Council of the Haida Nation and as a director with the Haida Heritage Centre. The first Haida Nation member elected to the BC Legislature. As Environment Minister she has overseen the BC implementation of the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act, the Old-Growth Strategic Review action plan, the BC Energy Step Code, and the response to federal Clean Electricity Regulations.
