Bloyce Thompson is Minister of Justice and Public Safety and Attorney General of Prince Edward Island (since April 14, 2023). PC MLA for Stanhope-Marshfield, first elected in 2019 and re-elected in 2023. Before politics he was a dairy farmer in the Stanhope area and president of the PEI Federation of Agriculture. Previously Deputy Premier (2019-2023) and Minister of Agriculture and Land (2019-2023). As Justice Minister he has overseen PEI's response to the federal Bail Reform Act (C-48) and the modernization of the Provincial Court Act.
