Paul Calandra is Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing of Ontario (since September 2023). MPP for Markham-Stouffville, elected in 2018; previously Conservative MP for Oak Ridges-Markham (2008-2015). Previously Government House Leader (2022-2023) and Minister of Long-Term Care (2020-2023) under Doug Ford. As Municipal Affairs and Housing Minister he has led the Strong Mayors framework expansion to more Ontario municipalities, the More Homes Built Faster series (Bill 23, 134, 250), and the controversial Greenbelt land-swap reversal of 2023.
