Liberal MP for North Vancouver since 2015. A Rhodes Scholar raised in Saskatchewan, he ran clean-technology companies (including QuestAir Technologies and BioteQ Environmental Technologies) before entering politics. He has held a series of senior economic and environmental portfolios under the Trudeau government: Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard, then Minister of Environment and Climate Change, then Minister of Natural Resources, and finally Minister of Energy and Natural Resources. He now sits as a member of the Liberal caucus.
