Julie Dabrusin is the federal Minister of the Environment, Climate Change and Nature in the Carney cabinet, sworn into the expanded portfolio (now including Nature) in the December 2025 Carney shuffle that succeeded Steven Guilbeault. Liberal MP for Toronto-Danforth since 2015. A lawyer by training, she previously served as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Environment and Climate Change. Her file covers the Canadian Net-Zero Emissions Accountability Act framework, biodiversity protection under the 30 by 30 target, and federal carbon-pricing implementation post-consumer-fuel-charge repeal.
