Pierre Poilievre is the Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada (since September 10, 2022) and Leader of the Official Opposition. He is the MP for Carleton (Ontario), first elected in 2004 at age 25. Previously Minister of Democratic Reform (2013-2015) and Minister of Employment and Social Development (2015) in the Harper government. Built his post-2022 leadership around housing supply, opposition to the federal carbon tax, and a 'Building Homes Not Bureaucracy' framework that became 44-1 C-356.
