Conservative MP for Calgary Forest Lawn, first elected in 2019. Finance critic in the Conservative shadow cabinet. Born in Punjab, India, and raised in Calgary from a young age, where he ran a residential construction business before politics. Re-elected in 2021 and 2025, he has led Conservative questioning of the Bank of Canada governor at House Finance Committee since being appointed Finance Critic by Pierre Poilievre in 2022. Sponsored Bill C-256 in the 44th Parliament proposing Opposition representation on the federal Treasury Board, and has been a persistent voice on federal spending discipline and the federal debt trajectory.
