Conservative MP for Medicine Hat-Cardston-Warner. Former Medicine Hat police inspector; firearms-policy critic. Spent 28 years with the Medicine Hat Police Service before entering politics, retiring at the rank of Inspector. First elected in the October 2016 byelection triggered by the death of Jim Hillyer, and re-elected in 2019, 2021, and 2025. Has been one of the Conservative caucus's most prominent voices on firearms policy, particularly opposing the Liberal government's 2020 Order-in-Council banning approximately 1,500 models of assault-style firearms. Currently serves on the House Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security.
