An Act to amend the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Atlantic Accord Implementation Act and the Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Resources Accord Implementation Act and to make consequential amendments to other Acts. Royal assent October 3, 2024 (S.C. 2024, c. 20). Modernizes the federal-provincial Atlantic Accords to extend the joint regulators' authority beyond oil and gas to include offshore wind, marine renewable energy, and offshore hydrogen production. Renames the C-NL Offshore Petroleum Board the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Energy Regulator, and the C-NS Offshore Petroleum Board the Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Energy Regulator. Important enabling step for the Atlantic provinces' offshore wind projects. Sponsored by Jonathan Wilkinson as Minister of Energy and Natural Resources.
